I call Dominican Republic my home away from home. Why you ask... Because I fell in love with the culture it's something you can only fully understand once you go. The beautiful warm weather, Latin/African combo walking throughout the streets (People that look like me) but speak Spanish and creole. They have housing available in all ranges from $100 a month all the way on up. Punta Cana side is the more tourist side and Puerta Plata/Cabarete side is less tourist and more people living their daily lives. I tried the fast food there such as KFC and Taco Bell and it's a huge difference. The Taco Bell actually had real Beef lol. It also has Excursions with all fun types of activities such as Monkey Jungle where your able to go in an enclosed area with Monkeys and feed them, ATV rides, Tour the countryside where Dominican live ect.
